Isola is one of Milan’s neighborhoods that underwent major changes in recent years. From a suburban area it rapidly turned out to host the business headquarters of the city. Gae Aulenti square, Bosco Verticale (the Vertical Forest) and all new buildings in the area, have made of Isola a young, dynamic and modern neighborhoods.

Click To TweetThe citizens of Milan are still almost completely unaware of the artistic and cultural heritage of Isola but this year, thanks to the first edition of the Isola Design District (from 4th to 9th April, in conjunction with the Fuorisalone), everyone will have the opportunity to discover this neighborhoods with its history and its shops.
As already happening in other districts, Isola, will have its “main event” too, that is the “Milan Design Market” which will be held at Gianni Rizzotti’s photographer’s studio, located in Pastrengo street, 14. Here, young designers from around the world, will present their works to the public.
Over the five days dedicated to the Fuorisalone in Isola, you will be able to visit not only the “Milan Design Market”, but also explore different locations, shops and workshops where designers and their works will be hosted.
Events, demonstrations, workshops and debates will accompany the event throughout its duration.
