October’s events in Milan

Milan is truly a city full of energy, dynamism and interesting events. Let’s take for example October, a month in which events dedicated to Caravaggio and Fontana, independent cinema festivals, Fall Design Week and much more can coexist in Milan.

Let’s take one thing at a time:

From September 19th to January 28th 2018, you will be able to admire the exhibition “Dentro
Caravaggio” (Inside Caravaggio) at Palazzo Reale (Royal Palace of Milan). An initiative, promoted and
produced by the Comune di Milano-Cultura, Palazzo Reale and MondoMostre Skira, which will present
to the visitors twenty masterpieces together for the first time. We recommend this exhibition to all those who want to participate in a unique event, which will bring together works from major Italian and foreign museums.

For installation art lovers, from September 21st to February 25th 2018 it is possible to visit the exhibition “Ambienti/Environments” in the area called Navate (HangarBicocca) which collects the lesser-known but equally important works by Lucio Fontana. In this particular exhibition you can enjoy rooms and corridors designed by the same Fontana between 1949 and 1968.

Milan film festival is dedicated to cinema, music and culture. On its 22nd anniversary, you will enjoy
projections, previews, reviews, meetings, exhibitions, musical evenings and special events. From 28th
September to 8th October 2018, Milan will be filled with culture thanks to this festival that will be held in the Tortona district starting from BASE, at Mudec up to the Cinema Ducale.

“Milan Fall Design Week” is the format of the initiatives related to project design, whose 2 nd edition will be held in Milan from 7th to 15th October 2017. It is an opportunity for lovers of architecture and design to attend meetings, workshops, conferences, exhibitions and installations designed and conceived by the main operators in the branch.
